Iron & Metal Castings Done Fast
Winnebago is a jobbing foundry producing gray and ductile iron castings from ounces to 3000 lbs. Established in 1984 by Gary Anderson and Jed Weldon to serve the short-to-medium run casting markets with unparalleled customer service, short lead times, and high casting quality.
We pour gray iron in ASTM A48, A126, A159, in grades CL20, CL25, CL30, CL35, & CL40 and ductile irons ASTM A536, A395, A897 in grades 60-40-18, 65-45-12, 80-55-06, and 100-70-03 and Austempered Ductile Iron in Grades 1 to Grade 5. We can also produce high silicon, molybdenum alloyed ductile irons, and Hi-Sil-Moly. Chemical and mechanical certifications can also be requested. Winnebago also offers its customers on-site heat treating, painting, and NDT.
At this time, Winnebago does not offer highly-alloyed materials such as Ni-Resist or Ni-Hard, nor do we pour carbon steels.
We can produce ductile to a vareity of internal specifications of major manufacturers such as Caterpillar, John Deere, CNH, etc.
We specialize in rapid turnaround on prototype castings with deliveries as short as two days and in one-off castings for repair parts.
We use the following quality assurance methods:
Chemical, mechanical, and hardness testing, microstructural analysis, dimensional layouts and most NDT methods (radiography, ultrasonic, dye penentrant).Winnebago Foundry offers the ability to use most foundry tooling: Foam platterns, loose patterns, matchplates, standard cope and drag patterns, or mold boxes. We have a large selection of both slip and steel flask sizes that will help minimize pattern adaptation costs. We have an on-site pattern shop for repairs and rigging. We also utilize a variety of local pattern shops with capabilities ranging from traditional wood construction to the latest CNC technology.
